Core Control for Skiing

Many of our patients are keen skiers or snowboarders that have missed being on the slopes during lockdown.  With such a long break there is an inevitable loss of fitness and technique. So, we thought we would run our November campaign on avoiding winter sports injuries.  This post is from our Sport Rehabilitator Tom to demonstrate some simple but effective exercises to start building fitness for skiing or boarding. Please note that although restrictions have significantly eased, our governing bodies confirm we must continue to follow our Covid-19 regulations.  This involves screening patients for Covid-19 symptoms, screening for categories which exclude hands on treatment, disinfecting clinics and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
